3일(현지시간) 뉴욕타임스(NYT)는 선박 데이터 분석업체 클플러(Kpler)의 항로 추적 자료를 분석한 결과 평소 하루 약 80척의 원유·가스 운반선이 통과하던 호르무즈 해협을 2일 하루 동안 단 2척만 통과한 것으로 나타났다고 보도했다. 이후에도 유조선 운항은 극도로 제한된 상태가 이어지고 있는 것으로 파악됐다.
